But if even 1x doesn't help (or looks too ugly), keep reading. All that lowering the resolution does is make the screen look a little blurry and slightly more pixelated. If 3x still doesn't improve your performance, try 2x. You can do so by going to Game Settings > Rendering Resolution > 3x. You can force PPSSPP to always render in a lower resolution. By default, PPSSPP is automatically setting the rendering resolution depending on the size of the window or if you're in full screen mode. There are programs to facilitate updating the cheat.db but you can just use a good text editor for any new found cheats.I think this is the best start toward better performance.
Select the cheats that you want and have fun. Select cheats then import from cheat.db then when you select cheats again you should have a mess o' cheats now. For my 360 controller its the left trigger or middle 360 button. Once done open the game, in this case birth by sleep and open the game menu. Now open the PPSSPP program and be sure to enable cheats in Settings - System - Enable cheats. Copy it into your ppsspp cheat folder I previously mentioned. Now once you have the file go into it and look in \INSTALL\seplugins\cwcheat\ for the cheat.db file. That link is not a violation of rule 1. No roms or anything like that is in the file. There may be newer versions but this is the one I know of and has the most thus far and I'm just too lazy to make one or get anything else. Go here and download the CWCHEAT_0_2_3.RAR file. I recommend that method because its simple and fast. An ini for each game or for the lazy/efficient you can make use of a cwcheats cheat.db file. PPSSPP supports loading cheats in a couple of ways.
